One Day ONLY Christmas Extravaganza & Black Friday SALE!

We are having a Christmas Extravaganza on Sunday, November 16th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sessions are for 20 minutes and they will be at the Jackson Park Rock Garden (weather permitting). If it's rainy or too miserable outside, we'll shoot at the studio with a couple of different Christmas/Winter scenes. We're offering three packages. Sheryl's Halloween Costume

This was the first year that our daughter Sheryl was really looking forward to going "Trick or Treating." We searched for a month for a "little piggie" costume and couldn't find one that would fit our little toddler. So, mommy had to make one. I threw it together last minute and she didn't like the little bitty tail I put on it so we had to put the long, left over tail part on her costume. She was so excited about leaving, we barely got her to sit still long enough for a couple of snapshots. Here's our adorable little piggie:

Dillow-Benak Wedding

We attended Kristine and Robert's wedding in Murphysboro, IL on October 18th. What a beautiful (short) ceremony. We enjoyed getting to know Kristine and Robert prior to their wedding and were so excited to get to share in their day. Lexi's St. Louis Safari - Senior '09

Wow, that's about all we can say about Lexi's shoot in St. Louis. Gorgeous girls...gorgeous locations...great fun! It was definitely a long day of shooting but Lexi has some of the most awesome senior portraits we've ever taken. She was very enthusiastic and adventurous and we came up with some fabulous locations and scenes to take in the entire St. Louis experience in just a few hours. It'll take a while to get your pictures up Lexi, but here are a few of our favorites:

We met Erica at the SEMO District Fair and she did a split session with us. She's got some great photographs and she was such a joy to work with, very lighthearted and fun. Here's a few of our favorites:

Trash the Dress

We told you awhile back that Kathy was getting ready to trash her wedding dress for our 5 year anniversary. We took her to a little creek outside Marble Hill for her session on Labor Day. With the Fair, weddings, and seniors, this is the first time we've had a chance to post some samples of our favorites:

For those of you who don't know...Trash the Dress (TTD) is an extremely popular session in other parts of the country and we are bringing it here to the Cape Girardeau area! It's a great, fun way to get some beautiful and unique photos with your wedding dress.

Jami & Bo's Wedding

We shot Jami and Bo's wedding on September 20th in Chaffee. The reception was held at the KC Hall in Kelso. The day turned out beautiful after it had been raining all morning. What a great couple to photograph and spend the day with! You can now view their full set of wedding day photos on our gallery!

SEMO Fair & Blog Contest

SEMO District Fair

It's that time of year again! The time of year when the smell of cotton candy and corn dogs overwhelms the air at Arena Park! It's also our biggest advertising event and we LOVE it! Be sure to stop by our booth in the Arena Building any time this week and get registered for our daily photo session drawing!

As an extra giveaway only available on our blog...shoot us an email OR post a comment on this post after you visit our booth at the fair and tell us:

1) what did you think of our booth decor and 2) describe one picture or display that we had that stood out to you and WHY. Should be pretty easy if you come by our booth! BUT, be creative in your answers and the one that we think best describes our booth/pictures will be selected to receive a complimentary gift certificate worth $25.

You have until 12 a.m., Monday, September 15th to send us your thoughts. This helps us create a booth that's appealing to those attending the fair who are our potential clients!

Oh, and be sure to leave us a phone number and/or mailing address in your email so we can contact the winner. We'll announce the winner sometime during the week after the fair!

More new stuff at Magee Images!

We believe in providing a little something for everyone. So here's a little glimpse at some of the new items we will be offering!:

Senior Slideshows - great for graduation parties and momentos for grandparents. You can pick 25-40 images and one song and we'll put a great DVD slideshow together. For an additional $25, you can provide us with 10-20 snapshots or released images from other photographers from your senior's childhood to include in the slideshow. Cost is $85 for senior portraits only; and $110 for childhood and senior portraits, plus tax. There will be a significant discount for multiple copies of the same DVD.

Social Networking Cards - you have a standard photo session with us and pick your favorite photo, colors, fonts, even clipart, and we will design a custom, 2-sided social networking card. These are great for seniors (can include myspace or facebook address, email, cell phone, address, etc) and as Mommy cards (use for emergency contacts, give to other parents to schedule playdates, etc). Vibrant colors, great images, and a one-of-a-kind networking card. The price of these are $45 for 100 cards, plus tax.

Web Ready Images - so that you aren't infringing on our copyright, we will provide up to 10 images from your session on CD or via email, which will include a web release. The images are in low-resolution to prevent printing but are great for showing off your images on your myspace or facebook page. Great for seniors, teens, and business professionals. The cost of the CD and release is $25 plus tax.

Senior Graduation Announcements and Party Invitiations - I am steadily working on designing this year's graduation and party announcements for seniors. I hope to have several examples up on our gallery by the end of the week. The price varies based on size, so I will add the information to our website once I post the samples to our online gallery.

Custom Photo Jewelry - I announced several months ago that we will be offering custom photo jewelry. It took a long time to narrow down the prospective vendors to find the one I think our clients will be most happy with. Still working on a catalog/price list, so look for this information to be added to the Creative Designs page on our website by the end of the week.

Studio Renovation - we're getting ready to do some minor renovations in the studio. We're going to be adding a changing room in the studio...complete with mirror, places to hang your clothes, and outlets and lighting for hair and makeup touchups. The few changes we have planned should only take a day each so we will not need to close down for any of the renovations; we'll schedule the renovations on "slow" days.

Trash the Dress - be on the look out soon for our first Trash the Dress! On August 30th, Sean and I will be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary. Though I am not the most photogenic person to be Sean's first Trash the Dress client, I am 100% looking forward to my husband creating some great images of me in my dress. So I will be trashing my dress sometime over Labor Day Weekend!
